Due to the outstanding chapter growth in the Western United States, the National Wild Turkey Federation is expanding its support staff in California and is looking for qualified candidates to fill the following positions.

REGIONAL DIRECTOR: Motivated individual is needed to serve in California. Qualifications: Four-year degree or commensurate experience, good written and oral communication skills, leadership abilities and a strong wildlife background. Duties: To develop membership fund-raising dinners, and serve as a liaison between chapters and national headquarters. This position to be filled by June 1, 2000. REGIONAL WILDLIFE BIOLOGIST: The National Wild Turkey Federation is planning to establish regional wildlife biologists and is considering a West Coast position. The biologists will be responsible for working with state chapters of the NWTF to develop habitat management projects on public and private lands, assist regional directors with fund-raising opportunities, coordinate landowner field days and media events, and provide assistance to state and federal agency partners. Applicant must have a strong background in wild turkey land management and research and must be skilled at developing written manuscripts for a non-scientific audience. REGIONAL WOMENS COORDINATOR: The NWTF seeks a motivated woman willing to travel the West Coast and develop the Women in the Outdoors program. The position offers great potentials for someone creative, dedicated, and with the vision to develop, implement and coordinate the grassroots program within the NWTF’s chapter system.
