Idaho Elk Tag Sale, August 1
Boise River Zone (Unit 39) B-tags for elk will go on sale to the first 3,000 resident hunters who want one on August 1, at vendors and Fish and Game offices starting 10 a.m. Mountain Time (9 a.m. Pacific).

Tag holders in the Boise River Zone were limited for the first time this year. The bull segment of the Boise River elk herd is in danger of falling below management objectives, prompting this measure.

Nonresidents have already bought the 300 tags of a total 3,300 for the zone. They are allowed 10 percent in Idaho big game hunts.
