Hunters — Watch Out for Wolf!
Hunters are being cautioned not to mistake a Mexican gray wolf traveling in the Flagstaff, Arizona area for a large coyote. This one-year-old wolf is an endangered species and has left his reintroduction range in the Springerville/Eagar area. Although radio-collared, the collar is sometimes difficult to see.

Project personnel are monitoring the wolf. Hunters are also cautioned to be alert to the possibility of sighting uncollared wolves. Anyone seeing wolves is asked to report their sightings toll-free to (1-888-459-9653).
