Fall Turkey Licenses
Still Available
The drawing for Wyoming's fall turkey licenses was held August 26 and many hunting opportunities remain with 473 licenses left over in three limited-quota areas.

As of August 29 there were still 162 licenses in Hunt Area 1 which includes the Black Hills; 243 licenses in Area 2, commonly known as Laramie Peak; and 69 licenses in Area 4, Goshen County and Platte County east of Interstate 25.

The remaining licenses are currently available as processed to both residents and nonresidents through the Game and Fish Department's Cheyenne office. Area 1 licenses can also be bought at the Short Stop in Newcastle, Short Stop Texaco in Sundance, Wal-Mart in Gillette, the Carlile Store, Aladdin Store, Whitetail Creek Sports Shop in Hulett and Hulett Hardware beginning September 15.

Turkey licenses in the over-the-counter areas of Sheridan/Buffalo (Area 3), Campbell County (Area 5) and southern Johnson County (Area 7) are also available from license agents in those hunt areas.

Hunters are reminded only Area 1 offers good public access.

Fall turkey applications are available at license agents, G&F offices or by calling 800+842-1934, or (307) 777-4600 outside Wyoming.
