Gun Dog Showdown
San Gabriel Valley Chapter of Quail Unlimited Presents…

The 15th Annual Gun Dog Showdown

Here is a chance to get out into the field with your hunting dog during the off-season in a trial designed to promote a little sportsman-like competition between the breeds. We will once again attempt to determine whether the pointing breeds, or flushing breeds, are better suited for the rigors of upland game hunting, while establishing bragging rights for the best upland bird dog.

Chukar will be planted for the trial in an effort to better simulate an actual hunting environment. Hunter-dog teams will be judged based on time, and shells expended, to shoot and retrieve three birds.

When:
March 8, 2003, with a 7:30 a.m. sign in.

Where:
Prado Dog-Training Area (Prado Regional Park) off Euclid, south of Highway 60, north of Highway 91, Chino, CA.

Cost:
$50 registration fee for trial ($45 for SGVQU and other QU members)
$35 for reruns.
(Prado charges a $10 entry fee into the park.)

For further information call (866) 206-9070, extension 6715.
