California Blacktail Opportunity
Bill and Kay Burrows show off a 5x4 buck taken during the 2002 season near their newly opened private property.
We were recently informed by Bill Burrows of Burrows Ranch Hunting Club near Red Bluff, California that he has just acquired the hunting rights on 2,800 acres of Coast Range near his ranch. This B-5 Zone private property is at timberline near the Yollo Bolly Wilderness Area.

Hunters looking to take a blacktail buck may find their tag on a dandy buck as Burrows has told us he has seen some great bucks on this property.

The season in this zone begins September 20 and runs until October 26. There are still plenty of B Zone tags available.

Burrows will only be guiding 6 to 7 hunters on this property this season. The hunts are fully guided and include food and lodging. Hunters will stay for three nights in nice accomodations near the Burrows Ranch and their hunt will be two and a half days.

Cost for these hunts are:

$1,000 per hunter for a group of three hunters
$1,200 per hunter for a group of two hunters
$1,500 for a single hunter

Bill and Kay Burrows are great hosts and their hunters keep coming back — that's why it has always been tough to find an opening for deer hunts on their ranch. If you want a chance at this new property, you better not waste any time contacting them at (530) 529-1535.
