CWA to Fight for Sales Location
With dramatic budget woes and staff eliminations facing the California Department of Fish and Game (DFG), the department has been forced to stop selling hunting and fishing licenses at its License and Revenue Branch office located at 3211 S Street in Sacramento. The California Waterfowl Association (CWA) is poised to fight this closure by working with the California Resources Agency and the DFG to reallocate the funding and staff necessary to keep this popular office open for California's sporting community.

"CWA fully recognizes the important service that the DFG License and Revenue Branch provides to our state's hunting and fishing community by selling license, stamps, and tags," said Bill Gaines, Director of Government Affairs for CWA. "Oftentimes, due to application deadlines and other time constraints, hunters and fisherman have no other option but to acquire these items over the counter."

CWA will push hard to see that this important service remains available to all California sportsmen and women this year and far into the future.
