Hunting Memories

Oregon Hunting Tradition

We started hunting in Central Oregon when our kids were little. Now they bring their kids to hunt with us. Pictured is my wife, Gayle, with the buck she took in 2002 (on her own) with two of our sons. The buck is a 25-inch wide 4x4.

Since these pictures were taken, the two sons pictured have each added another hunter to our growing family, both girls.

The last picture is the same buck Gayle took but this picture was taken in August of that year on a camping trip to our hunting area. My dad hunted with us in this area and got a couple nice bucks before he passed away. That makes four generations of Dixsons enjoying the same hunts. The hunting tradition is still going strong in this family.
