SHOT Show Product

ThermalFeet

A few years ago I found myself sitting on the side of a mountain in Colorado during the late elk season. I was wearing a pair of pac boots, the kind made with rubber on the lower part and leather on the upper. Inside were felt liners. During the early part of the week it had been snowing and the temperatures were not super cold. My feet felt fine.

Now as I was sitting on the snowless hillside early in the morning I was warm except for my feet. I looked at my Kestrel 3000 which I had placed on the tree next to me it showed a temperature of 6.9 degrees — boy, was it cold! No wonder I had to keep moving my toes up and down.

This year at the SHOT Show I stopped by a booth that was displaying ThermalFeet™. Remembering my Colorado morning I was interested in seeing the product that might be able to keep my toes warm.

ThermalFeet™ slip over boots or shoes and use chemical heat packs to keep your feet warm. You slip the heat packs into the upper pocket of each shell. Your boot slips into the lower pocket. One size fits all because of the elastic drawstrings which secure them to your boots.

ThermalFeet™ efficiently captures the heat from the heat pack and drives it into the foot by using 600-gram Thinsulate™ Ultra Insulation. ThermalFeet™ only weigh five ounces and are about the size of a pair of gloves. By having a pair of ThermalFeet™ with you, you could wear a lighter pair of hunting boots for your hiking and then use ThermalFeet™ when you stopped to sit on a stand.
