Dinner To Protect Hunting
Mark your calendars! The California Sportsman’s Lobby and the California Houndsmen for Conservation are once again co-sponsoring the “Protect Your Hunting Rights” dinner/auction on Friday, August, 20, 2004, at the Ripon Community Center in Ripon, California. Last year we had a blast. This year should be even better!

Dinner tickets are $40 each. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and dinner will be served at 7 p.m. Dinner will be a terrific chicken and tri-tip combo buffet by Steve Medlin’s House of Beef from Oakdale, California. A live auction will follow the dinner.

Proceeds from the dinner will help maintain a lobbyist in Sacramento to look after sportsmen’s rights 12 months a year. Without a full-time lobbyist there would be no dove hunting, no hunting bear and bobcat with dogs and many other losses. A full-time lobbyist not only looks out for unwise bills but to also watches out for those devastating amendments to an otherwise good bill. In the past, such an amendment would have stopped all sport hunting of elk and antelope.

Remember: No Money = No Lobbyist = No Hunting!
