Sharing the Tradition
Free Deer Hunts for Juniors
If you're a California junior hunter and weren't drawn in this year's Department of Fish and Game special deer tag drawings, you have a second chance at a great deer hunt. The California Deer Association, in cooperation with the Tejon Ranch, and with support from Winchester Ammunition and Tasco, a wholly owned division of Bushnell® Performance Optics, are making it possible for junior hunters to win a unique deer hunting opportunity. Through the Sharing the Tradition program, junior hunters will be given the chance to win a free, antlerless deer hunt on the largest ranch in the state of California. The Tejon Ranch is located on 270,000 acres in the mountains just south of Bakersfield, California.

Ten antlerless deer tags will be given away. Winners will be randomly drawn. There is no cost to enter the drawing. The normal hunt or access fee will not be charged to the junior hunters whose names are drawn. Five junior hunters will hunt the first hunt date and the other five junior hunters will hunt the second hunt date. This is not a drawing conducted by the California Department of Fish and Game.
