Arizona Trophy

Pictured above is Michael Flores of California with his trophy 6x6 Arizona elk. Flores took this elk on September 21, 2004, using a Matthews bow and ACC carbon arrows.

After the elk was bugled into range, Flores found himself holding at full-draw for over 2 1/2 minutes until the elk presented the right angle for a shot. When the bull finally moved into the right position, Flores released from a distance of 35 yards.

In addition to being a serious bowhunter, Flores is also a commissioner on the California Fish and Game Commission.
